Equipment & Capabilities

What we service, and what we don't.

What types of elevators do you service?

Freight, industrial, hydraulic, and traction elevators, plus material lifts and vertical reciprocating conveyors. Carolina Elevators is a commercial and industrial elevator provider, not a residential elevator or stair-lift company.

Do you work on residential elevators or stair lifts?

No. Carolina Elevators performs commercial and industrial elevator work only. Homes, residences, and residential stair-lift or dumbwaiter equipment are outside our scope.

Emergency & Service Calls

What happens when an elevator is down.

Do you handle emergency service?

Yes. Elevator-down and passenger-entrapment emergencies are triaged ahead of routine work. Call the branch to open an emergency ticket; scheduled work is booked to fit your shift windows.

Do you offer preventive maintenance programs?

Yes. PM programs are built from the actual elevator fleet, scheduled to match duty cycle, and documented per unit. PM is the highest-leverage work in our catalog for facilities that can't afford surprise downtime.

What happens on a service call?

Call or submit a request with the equipment type, building, and what's happening. A technician is dispatched, diagnoses the unit, and reports the findings with a repair scope before work beyond the diagnosis is performed.

How do I request service or a quote?

Call (704) 318-7274 or use the request service or request a quote forms on this site. Include the building, equipment type, and a description of the problem or project.

Maintenance, Inspections & Modernization

Programs, documentation, and upgrades.

How is a preventive maintenance program scoped?

We start from the unit list: machine type, duty cycle, age, and condition. Visit frequency and task lists are set per elevator, not as a blanket package, and every visit is signed and reported per unit.

Do you handle modernization?

Yes. Elevator modernization, including controllers, drives, door operators, and hydraulic systems, is scoped per unit against how the elevator is actually used, not sold as a blanket compliance guarantee.

Do you perform inspections and testing?

Yes. Category testing, annual inspections, condition assessments, and compliance documentation are available. Records are kept per unit for inspectors, insurers, and ownership.
